Some important decisions were taken in a hospital waiting room

I was sitting beside a group of women in a hospital waiting room last month. They were discussing their respective lives with each other, complaining, praising, advising and comforting each other. The biggest topic of discussion was their children – eating habits, childhood, school, studies and sports. There were two or three women in that group who had been trying to enroll their children in one of the best schools in Noida. “Just Google ‘
bestschool in Noida admission open 2021’ and you will find a list of schoolsin Greater Noida West that will be perfect for your little doll.”, said a more experienced woman from the group. She had found top schools in the city the same way and has successfully enrolled her child in a prestigious school thereafter.

Another older woman said, “Just enroll your children in any random school for now but ensure that they do their graduation from a renowned college and university.” Upon hearing this, a few women quickly objected to the advice. They informed everyone that the times had changed and a good primary and secondary education had the ability to change a child’s future. According to them, a good early education could provide some invisible and some extremely evident advantages to the children, making them distinctive individuals in the crowd of crores of people in the country. Many nodded in agreement.

One woman told everyone that only her youngest child studied in one of the best schools in Noida, and out of her three children, only the youngest could speak flawless English. The youngest child also had better communication skills and more self-esteem than the other two children. She also said that this helped the youngest child crack more interviews than the other two siblings and made life more convenient for him. This piece of information made those two-three women come to a decision internally as they looked at each other in affirmation and proceeded to collect more information about the best school in Greater Noida West.
